MILITARY APPRECIATION NIGHT...
Special event, Friday evening, September 8, 2017 at the Maize High School Football Stadium,
there will be special activities going on prior to the big homecoming game.  All students are requested to wear red, white and blue colors.
1) Military vehicles will be on display at 5:00 PM till dark for everyone to stop, look at and visit with the owner.
2) The big Allmetal Recycling Kansas Honor Flight dumpster will be there ready to accept everyone's metal recyclable metals.  Bring all those aluminum cans and help raise funds for KANSAS HONOR FLIGHT and help honor a Kansas veteran.
3) The Maize Volleyball team is doing a 50/50 raffle with proceeds to the Kansas Honor Flight.
4)  The VYPE High School Sports Magazine will be there also doing a magazine story about this event.
5) Pryor to the start of the game, the Tornado Alley Young Marines will do a seven man color guard.
6) At approximately 6:40 PM, Dr. Lew Smith, a World War II combat bomber pilot and Distinguished Flying Cross recipient, will walk a football out to midfield to start the game.
