What a fantastic organization! I cannot even begin to describe the wonderful looks of joy I have seen on so many of the veterans who return home from one of these flights. My wife and I sponsored a lady named Kathryn Schroeder a few years ago to go on a Kansas Honor Flight and we’ve been a part of it ever since. Kathryn was the first female from the state of Kansas to enter into the USMC in World War II, and it was a wonderful honor to send her on this trip. I was unable to go, but my wife went and it was a tremendous experience for both of them. If you are a WWII, Korean War, or Vietnam veteran (or know someone who is), I highly encourage you to go and sign up now. It’s free for the veteran and the waiting list is long, so the earlier you sign up, the better!

Thank you Kansas Honor Flight for leading the way in giving our WWII, Korea War and Vietnam War Veterans the Heroes Welcome Home they never got when they returned from service decades ago. This trip is a life changing experience. Many veterans coming back with tears in their eyes, having found some closure and finally feeling appreciated for their service and sacrifices. Thank you Kansas Honor Flight for providing a way for us to properly Honor our Heroes after all these years. Love that Kansas Honor Flight is also a completely volunteer run non profit organization, so every dollar donated goes to send these Heroes on their trip to DC!
